Each of our four event spaces is designed to offer a distinct experience, blending comfort, style, and natural beauty. Whether you envision a riverside ceremony, a vibrant celebration under the open sky, or a cozy gathering by the fire, we have the perfect setting for you.

The Reception – A rustic riverside haven, perfect for elegant celebrations, complete with long wooden tables, an enchanting bar, and handcrafted Oregon pine furniture. Accommodates up to 100 guests.

The Chapel / Glass Venue – A stunning 180-degree glass-walled space with panoramic river views, offering a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. Ideal for intimate weddings, bachelorettes, and kiddies’ functions of up to 60 guests.

The Braai Lapa – A cozy, secluded retreat with two braai areas, a spacious deck, and a relaxed ambiance—perfect for baby showers, private gatherings, and year-end celebrations.

Each venue includes essential amenities to ensure a seamless event, from cutlery and crockery to solar electricity and atmospheric lighting.

Customizing Your Event
At Gulu Private Resort, we believe in flexibility, ensuring you have the freedom to bring your vision to life. You are welcome to provide your own décor, flowers, setup, and breakdown—or choose from our list of recommended service providers.

For those who would like assistance with set-up and breakdown, we offer this service at R50 per person. Access to the venue for setup is available from 08:00 to 18:00 the day before or two days before your event. Kindly note that deliveries and set-ups are not permitted after 18:00, and our staff will only assist if you have opted for our setup service.

Bar Options – Designed to Suit Your Event
No matter which venue you choose, our bar services are flexible to meet your needs:

Full-Service Cash Bar – Enjoy a seamless, cashless experience with a card machine available for transactions. Guests can also open a tab using their name and room or cell number. (No cash is kept on-site.)

Client-Supplied Beverages – Prefer to bring your own drinks? We offer a bar usage option for R5,000, including two professional bartenders. If you’d like to use your own bar team, a reduced bar usage fee of R4,200 applies. (No sales permitted.)

Guest-Supplied Beverages – Guests may bring their own beverages at a corkage fee of R80 per cooler box. A designated cooler box area is provided to maintain the event’s aesthetics.

Kindly note that our staff is responsible for cleaning and clearing only. Should you require canapé waiters, additional staff can be arranged at an extra cost.

The Conference room -  Our conference room offers a picturesque setting alongside the tranquil river, providing a serene backdrop for productive meetings and gatherings.
Benches outside ensure delegates can enjoy refreshing coffee and tea breaks amidst the natural beauty of our surroundings.

Package Inclusions:

Standard rate: R550.00 per person per day.
Comprehensive offerings tailored to meet the needs of most conferences: Coffee, tea, and juice available throughout the day.
Two bottles of still or sparkling water provided per delegate.
Cordials and nibbles for refreshment breaks.
Homemade sweet and savory treats to tantalize the taste buds.
Light lunch served with a beverage of choice.
One book and pen per person for note-taking.
Complimentary WIFI and solar electricity for uninterrupted connectivity.

Additional Services: 

Optional add-ons available at extra cost: Data projector and sound system for presentations.
Microphone for enhanced communication.
Extra snacks to keep energy levels up.
Accommodation packages with special rates, including breakfast.

Pricing:

Minimum 4-hour hire with additional hourly rates.
Pricing varies based on the number of guests, venue chosen and extras - range from R140 to R180 per head.
Generators are available on standby if needed, with costs deducted from the security deposit.

All venues have a refundable deposit added above the venue hire.
